SPEACH / PRIVACY POLICY
Your thoughts belong to you.
Speach is built to turn your voice into text on your iPhone. We do not receive your recordings or transcripts.
Last updated October 14, 2026 · Applies to the current Speach app and speach.dev.
Who operates Speach
Speach is developed by Ezel Bayraktar. For privacy questions or requests, contact ezel964@icloud.com.
Your audio and text stay on your device
Speech recognition, automatic categorization, and text refinement run on your iPhone. Recordings, transcripts, preferences, and writing statistics are stored locally in the app’s storage and the shared container used by its keyboard and widgets. They are not uploaded to Speach servers or a cloud transcription service.
Speach does not require an account and does not include advertising trackers, analytics SDKs, or a remote crash reporter. The current app does not collect personal data for the developer.
Microphone, speech recognition, and keyboard access
Speach asks for microphone and speech permissions so it can record and transcribe when you start a take. You can manage these permissions in iPhone Settings. The keyboard’s Full Access permission enables communication with the Speach app through their shared container. iOS handles audio recording in the app, rather than inside the keyboard extension.
Speach does not transmit your keyboard input, recordings, or transcripts to us. When you insert, copy, share, or export text to another app, that app handles the content under its own privacy practices.
Downloads and purchases
An internet connection is used to download Apple speech assets and, if you choose High accuracy, its optional speech model from a public model repository. These download requests expose ordinary connection information, such as an IP address, to the download provider. They do not include your recordings or transcripts.
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles payment information under Apple’s privacy policy. Speach uses purchase status on your device to determine access. The current build does not activate a third-party subscription service.
Notifications and diagnostics
If you allow notifications, Speach can schedule a local reminder before an eligible free trial ends. You can disable notifications in Settings.
The diagnostics log stays on the device unless you choose to share it. It records operational information and excludes audio, transcript text, and the contents of text fields. If you contact support, we receive the email and any information or files you choose to include. We use this information to respond and resolve the request; it is not used for advertising.
Deleting your content
You can delete saved takes in Speach. Removing the app removes its local app data, subject to iOS backup and shared-container behavior. Copies you have exported or included in a device backup are managed by you and the respective app or backup provider. Speach does not operate a cloud account or server-side transcript store to delete.
This website
speach.dev is hosted by Cloudflare. We do not add analytics, advertising cookies, or tracking pixels to the website. Fonts and product images are served from this site. Cloudflare processes connection and request information, such as IP addresses, to deliver and secure the site. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
The interactive writing preview uses prepared sample text. It does not access your microphone. The calculator runs in your browser and does not send its slider value to us.
Changes and contact
We will update this page if the app’s data practices change. The date above identifies this version. Send privacy questions to ezel964@icloud.com.
